Summary:
This unique Full-Time position provides nutrition and wellness programming to the community through classes, cooking demonstrations, media interviews, written articles, newsletters, and virtual presentations. Assist with creation of classes, seminars and programs on preventive health topics such as heart health, cancer prevention, plant-based eating, improving overall health. Primary duties involve a program providing education to local businesses and the community on preventive health topics with weekly virtual education sessions and cooking demonstrations. Program responsibilities include advertising, recruitment, pre/post biometric screenings, data collection, entry, analysis, and weekly virtual class instruction.

Responsibilities Essential Functions
Communicate with CHI staff and medical director to provide care for CHI clients.
Provide nutrition assessments, write reports, obtain medical records, and update databases for CHI clients.
Assist with recruitment, advertising, follow up and retention of CHI clients.
Collaborate within OH departments marketing, media relations, community relations, clinical nutrition, OH Cancer Institute, OH Heart and Vascular Institute to provide nutrition education and create programs for the community.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, outlook, word, excel, powerpoint.
Serves as a nutrition resource for the community.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
Comfortable with managing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to work independently
Possess excellent presentations skill and comfortable on camera
Possess strong interpersonal skills to build relationships within OH and the community
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in planning and organizing the nutritional care of clients.
Develops measurable goals and evaluates to desired outcomes.
Ensures the accurate calculation of nutritional needs based upon individual therapeutic need.
Communicates appropriate dietary history and nutritional care data through medical record documentation system.
The registered dietitian is expected to adhere to Orlando Health policies, procedures, guidelines, mission and vision statements, and commitment to excellence.
Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited university or college and coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Licensure/Certification Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and Licensed as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Florida.
Experience Experienced registered dietitian with 2 years of experience with a variety of medical conditions, including preventive health care.
