McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, quality patient care in the Preop, Recovery, and Operating Room of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care from admission to discharge.
Schedule:
Full-time, 80 bi‑weekly hours (6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
Responsibilities Assess patient status on admission to the pre‑op area, operating room, and/or post‑op area. Provide safe, therapeutic care using the nursing process and nursing diagnosis with appropriate priorities. Document interventions and patient responses. Communicate patient condition information to surgeons, anesthesia, management, and other staff.
Qualifications Graduate of a Nursing Program. Current Michigan Registered Nurse license. BLS certification valid at least 60 days beyond start date. ACLS certification. PALS certification within 6 months of hire. Minimum 6 months Pre/Post‑Operative or Operating Room experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital OR setting.
Preferred ACLS certification (preferred for OR RN). One year Pre/Post‑Operative or Operating Room experience, preferably in an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
