Job Summary The RN Manager Med Surg is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing the various functions to ensure the effective operation of the unit. In cooperation with the leadership team, the manager will develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures to efficiently provide quality care.
Responsibilities • Oversee day‑to‑day unit operations and staffing.
• Develop unit protocols and policies to meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and high‑quality care.
• Evaluate performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
Qualifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State where you practice or hold a Compact/Multi‑State RN License
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (or American Red Cross)
3+ years of acute care nursing experience
