Summary of Duties
Assist and work at the direction of a faculty member providing instruction in a clinical setting in which nursing care is delivered to an individual or group of individuals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate clinical instruction of nursing students for 4-12 contact hours per week.
Provide input to nursing student's achievement and progress according to Chapter 4723-5-19 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
Supervise students in the clinical setting according to Chapter 4723-5-20 Section (E), of the Ohio Revised Code.
Be committed to implementation of the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Nursing Program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills & Abilities Requirements
Requires two or more years' experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
Must be willing and able to work evening and weekend hours if needed and to teach clinical in outlying clinical facilities.
Requires an appreciation for and understanding of the Community College mission.
Preferred
Prior clinical teaching experience in a practical nursing, associate degree program, or community college.
Education & Certifications ADN Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program.
Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or Multi‑State license that is valid in the State of Ohio.
PN Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program.
Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or Multi‑State license that is valid in the State of Ohio.
