Overview
Manager of Radiology – Interventional Radiology role at UAMS - University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This position provides leadership for the day-to-day operational management of Interventional Radiology services and collaborates with medical staff and other UAMS employees. Responsibilities
Provides leadership and direction for the day-to-day operational management of Interventional Radiology services. Manages human resources activities including recruitment and retention, staff deployment, competency development, regular evaluation, and disciplinary counseling where needed. Promotes team building and career growth to maximize productivity and job satisfaction; willing to perform clinical work with direct reports when appropriate. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions and following through with appropriate actions. Monitors the operating budget, collaborates with supply chain to maintain stock levels, works with coders to maximize reimbursement, and ensures compliant billing practices; develops measures to stay within budget. Plans and organizes staff and facilities to meet patient needs. Provides leadership training on new technologies. Evaluates the quality of images, procedures, and services. Ensures cost-effective operations and value to the patient; ensures all regulatory requirements are met (State, Federal, and Joint Commission). Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the Administrative Director and/or the Assistant Director. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Science - Radiology plus five (5) years as a working technologist National Certification in any discipline (ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS, etc.) Licensed by the ADH if applicable State of Arkansas Radiography license Additional Information
