Responsibilities Our ID residents are extremely well respected by their pharmacy and physician peers, with quick assimilation as essential members of our antimicrobial stewardship team. We have a collaborative relationship with our ID physician and extender colleagues. In interdisciplinary meetings, the resident actively contributes to the discussion, differential diagnosis, and presentation of cases or topics. These interactions are often the highlights of the week, with enjoyable exchanges between faculty, fellows, and our pharmacy group. These conferences are also well-attended with over 30 ID faculty that regularly take part in these meetings. Lastly, we have many specialty services that expose the resident to extremely rare infectious diseases and profoundly immunocompromised patients. We are a referral center for many specialty infections.
