Quality Staffing Specialist are currently searching for a
Maternal Fetal Echocardiographer
to work within and
Women's Clinic Setting.
Job Summary
Assists the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal-fetal ultrasound processes.
Provides standardization and training to residents regarding these exams.
Consults with the patient and evaluates any contraindications, such as medications, insufficient patient preparation, or the patient’s inability or unwillingness to tolerate the procedure.
Performs the ultrasound procedure under general or direct supervision, as defined by the procedure and/or physician.
Performs essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, such as detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, fetal wellbeing (to include biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, amniotic fluid assessments), needle procedure guidance, examinations of maternal pelvic anatomy (including transvaginal cervical assessment), and advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques.
Conducts ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.
Assists the supervising physician with invasive procedures as required.
Analyzes sonography findings throughout the course of the examination so that a comprehensive exam is completed and sufficient data is provided to the physician.
Recognizes situations or abnormalities that require the direct observation of the real-time scan by the radiologist.
Images structures while simultaneously obtaining Doppler signal and recording images and Doppler shift recordings along with patient information for interpretation by a radiologist.
Advises radiologist and/or referring OB provider of results of the examination and provides preliminary information regarding diagnostic evaluation of the maternal-fetal scans.
Required Skills/Experience
Must have 3 years of recent Maternal Fetal Echocardiography experience
Must have the ability to independently perform Fetal echocardiograms
Doppler assessments experience preferred, but will train if needed
Must be able to perform amniocentesis and CVS independently
Must have experience with dopplers: MCA (Middle Cerebral Artery) dopplers and Valve dopplers
Location Raleigh, NC
Rate $2,320 - 2,600/weekly
Shifts Available
Days: 7:30am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday), 4x9
Days: 7:30am-11:30am (Friday), 1x4
Scheduling Requirements
Length of contract: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 40
No Call
No Weekends
No Holidays
Credential Requirements
Resume reflecting all experience & explanation of gaps in employment of more than 30 days
Education in Ultrasound Technician
BLS/Healthcare Provider (ARC or AHA)
Required RDMS (OB/GYN) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers - Obstetrics & Gynecology
Preferred, not required RDMS (FE) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Fetal Echocardiography
