Pay Range:
$46.90 – $63.97 per hour (anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.)
Note:
The compensation offered will depend on candidate's education, skills and experience.
Responsibilities The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for psychiatric patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for the State of New Jersey and the policies and procedures of the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.
All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out at the highest level of competence, demonstrating concern and consideration. The Registered Nurse will actively apply Barnabas Health's philosophy of Total Quality Management in all interactions.
Essential Functions
Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
Ensures safety, applies evidence-based practice, and maintains knowledge of patient population.
Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to team members and collaborates with other care providers.
Sets and evaluates priorities through interventions with measurable outcomes.
Utilizes the nursing process to integrate care and individualize the plan of care for specific patients.
Qualifications
ASN or Nursing Diploma
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Certifications and Licenses Required
BLS certification
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Preferred
BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient setting
One (1) year experience in a psychiatric/chemical dependency field
