Weekly Gross Pay: $2,614.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $990.00
Nontaxable Weekly: $1,624.00

for $72.61/hr . (taxed + non-taxed)
Requirements of the RN LABOR & DELIVERY:
Must have a valid state NJ License or Compact license.
Must have AHA BLS, NRP
Must have 2 years of RN LABOR & DELIVERY

Responsibilities of the RN LABOR & DELIVERY:
Shift: 12-hours Nights
Shift details: 7.00 PM to 7.30 AM
36 hours/week (3*12)
13-week assignment
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs continuously to assess labor progress and identify any complications promptly.
Assist with labor management, including administering medications such as epidurals, analgesics, and other interventions following established protocols.
Perform sterile procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and IV insertion to support safe delivery and postpartum recovery.
Provide education and emotional support to mothers and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
Collaborate closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage or fetal distress, utilizing advanced critical care skills.
Ensure infection control practices are rigorously followed to uphold safety standards within the labor and delivery unit.
Experience
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Prior experience working in labor and delivery units within hospital settings, preferably with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure.
Demonstrated proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
Knowledge of obstetric procedures including fetal monitoring, cesarean section assistance, and postpartum assessments.
Experience managing high‑risk pregnancies with familiarity in acute pain management and emergency response protocols.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology related to pregnancy and childbirth, as well as medical terminology pertinent to obstetrics.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patients and their families.
