Job Overview A hospital‑based Interventional Radiology department in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Board‑Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD/DO) for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient services within a high‑acuity IR lab and offers full‑scope procedural work with strong clinical support. The department includes
3 IR rooms and 1 CT room , with an average volume of approximately
18 patients per day . You will work alongside experienced RNs, radiology technologists, nurse practitioners, and dedicated scheduling staff in a well‑organized, procedure‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
CT‑Guided Procedures
Aspiration and drainage
Vascular and Interventional Radiology
Venous and arterial angiography
Venous and arterial angioplasty
Venous and arterial stenting
Thrombolytic therapy
Embolization therapy
Non‑Vascular Interventions (Emergent Only)
Aspiration and drainage with percutaneous tube placement
Dilation and stent placement – below diaphragm, bone
Biliary and renal extractions
Special Procedures
Abscess drainage
Thoracentesis
Paracentesis
Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram
Qualifications
Board Certified in Interventional Radiology (required)
Active North Dakota medical license or ability to obtain ND licensure (required)
Ability to perform full‑scope IR procedures
Comfortable managing emergent non‑vascular cases
Strong collaboration and communication skills
