How You’ll Make a Difference
Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under their direct supervision.
Provide high‑quality care to all pets and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients.
Deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets.
Assist in surgery care: pre‑anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post‑operative care.
Provide written and verbal communication to clients regarding their pet’s care, answer questions, educate them on treatments, and obtain consent for treatment plans.
Manage medical records through practice management software.
Dispense medication, perform x‑rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines, and provide animal restraint when necessary.
Set‑up, break‑down, clean and maintain medical equipment.
Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
How You’ll Succeed
Comfortable interacting with furry, fuzzy, feathered, and scaly companions with calm and compassion.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
Certified veterinary technician (preferred).
Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred).
