Job Summary The Speech Therapist provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care by developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments. As a member of the healthcare team, the Speech Therapist performs comprehensive patient assessments, establishes appropriate treatment goals, and serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient's speech‑language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient's communication assets and liabilities.

You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.

You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.

You will document progress in patient’s chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.

You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre‑screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.

Qualifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) credential

Master's Degree

No Travel Required.
