Overview We are partnering with an established, operations-focused organization that provides essential services supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives. The company is known for its commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This role supports the accounting function by assisting with financial reporting, transaction processing, and analysis that helps leadership make informed business decisions.

Position Summary The Staff Accountant is a key contributor to the accounting team, responsible for general ledger activities, month‑end close support, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position works closely with internal stakeholders and supports ongoing business operations, including acquisition integration and ad hoc analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the month‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results

Review and reconcile general ledger accounts

Prepare and post journal entries

Prepare financial and management reports

Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations

Support weekly accounts payable processes

Assist with accounting integration for new acquisitions

Complete ad‑hoc requests and special projects as assigned

Analyze and explain cost account variances

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

2–4 years of related accounting experience

ERP system experience preferred (NetSuite a plus)

Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines

Public accounting experience preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

Self‑starter with a process‑driven work style

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel

$60,000 - $70,000 a year
