Ultrasound Technologist Job Opportunity
Seeking a 1099 Ultrasound Technician for the Reed City, MI area to cover general and vascular imaging orders Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm. This is a 1099 contract role paying $100 per scan.
Responsibilities
Providing patient care and ultrasound examinations as ordered
Completing patient ultrasound examinations and answering any questions they may have about the imaging being done
Perform general and vascular ultrasound scans to assess and identify areas of concern as ordered
Notify appropriate medical staff immediately of any abnormalities requiring urgent attention
Ensure proper imaging equipment maintenance and reporting
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality
Report any equipment malfunctions or issues
Upload completed imaging studies into the online system and accurately mark records as done
Maintain proper documentation and communication regarding imaging
Prepare clear and concise technical impression reports summarizing findings
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all imaging examination results
Manage multiple patients efficiently within a fast‑paced medical environment
Work independently with little supervision while working closely with others
Requirements
1 year of experience doing ultrasound imaging (vascular/general; 2-3 years preferred)
ARDMS (Abdomen or Vascular) certification preferred
Ability to perform a variety of general and vascular examinations
Comfortable writing a technical impression of each finding
