RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
Provide medical/surgical nursing care for acute patients
Manage patient ratios with a maximum of 6:1
Care for patients with various conditions including neurological patients with CVA, TIA, and altered mental status
Must have 1+ years of acute med/surg experience within the last year
Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time required
Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance
Provide medication administration and communicate with all members of care team
Document in Electronic Health Record (Meditech EMR system)
Perform continuous bladder irrigation and NGT insertion/maintenance
Float to other med/surg units as needed
Work on a 22-bed unit with 30 staff members
Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 unit secretary, and 0-2 sitters
Night shift includes 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, and 0-2 sitters
Dress code requires scrubs
Must maintain friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused attitude
RN licensure required
2+ years experience working with neuro patients preferred
