1300‑0130, C Weekend rotation

Job Summary Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) performs routine service duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort, and safety of patients in the Emergency and Trauma Center. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician is required; 1 year of EMT experience preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Incumbents employed with Froedtert Health hired prior to October 1, 2007 may substitute this educational requirement with the statement that they can read, write and communicate at a level normally acquired through completion of a high school education.

State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician License, certified Medical Assistant (in lieu of Certification, 3 years of experience required), or State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS or an equivalent within 30 days is required.
