About The Position TravelNurseSource is partnering with GO Healthcare Staffing to fill a 12‑hour night travel position for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN in Charlottesville, VA. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license and active BLS and/or ACLS certification, as required by the American Heart Association. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a CVICU setting is required.
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and interpreting cardiac data.
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members during patient assessments, treatment plans, and daily evaluations.
Operate and maintain cardiac monitoring equipment and other critical care devices safely and effectively.
Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner according to hospital policy.
Adhere to all safety, infection‑control, and quality‑improvement protocols while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
BLS certification and either ACLS certification or the ability to obtain ACLS within the first 48 hours of assignment.
Excellent communication, critical‑thinking, and teamwork skills.
