OB Sonographer 3 – USFTGP OBGYN
Tampa General Hospital
Overview The OB Sonographer 3 will perform high‑risk OB/GYN imaging exams and procedures under the direction of Maternal Fetal Medicine and GYN Imaging physicians, following established protocols. Responsible for obtaining and correlating clinical history with the indicated exam/procedure. Must use independent judgment to obtain all required information, images, and measurements. Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of fetal and gynecological anatomy and physiology, and technical sonographic principles. Must deliver patient care in accordance with USFTGP mission, vision, and values. Other duties as assigned.
Key Accountabilities
Gyn:
2D/3D GYN sonograms
Hysterosalpingo‑Contrast‑Sonogram
Saline Infusion Sonohysterography
Ultrasound guidance for various GYN procedures
Ob:
Early pregnancy viability
Fetal growth
Nuchal translucency evaluation
Biophysical Profile
Fetal anatomy and Level II sonograms
Fetal Doppler studies
Fetal echocardiography
Ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis and chorionic villous sampling procedures
Education
Completion of a formal accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with ARDMS registry in OB/GYN.
Current BLS certification required.

Work Experience And Additional Information
Minimum of 3 years of OB/GYN sonography experience required.
Must demonstrate current knowledge and level of expertise generally obtained through national certification required to perform high‑risk OB/GYN sonograms.
