About the Position Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Chilton, Wisconsin. You will provide high‑quality, patient-centered care in medical‑surgical and telemetry units, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to manage diverse patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, documenting changes and reporting concerns.
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Document thorough patient information in the medical record.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
Prioritize care for multiple patients based on acuity.
Follow infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences.
Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate transitions from hospital to home.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
One year of recent Med/Surg RN experience.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
NIHSS certification.
ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Additional certifications and licenses may be required.
Essential Work Functions
Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
PC skills and ability to comprehend written instructions.
Physical ability to move equipment (50‑100 lbs) and maintain a stationary position.
Professional attitude and teamwork with diverse personnel.
Capacity to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
