The Speech Therapist role is part of the EverTrue Home healthcare team and is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in older adults in their home setting; The Speech Therapist will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving communication and/or swallowing abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency disorders, and cognitive impairment including memory impairment
Develops and implements personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
Provides therapy to improve articulation, language development, voice quality, fluency, and cognitive impairment including memory impairment
Educates patients and their families on exercises to stimulate brain function and improve areas such as attention, focus and memory
Educates patients and their families on compensatory strategies and problem-solving techniques to help manage cognitive or memory deficits
Educates patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care
Monitors and documents patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Stays updated on the latest research and advancements in speech therapy techniques and practices
Participates in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience interacting with a diverse patient population
Pay: $37.00 - $53.00 per hour
