Vision Staffing Solutions, a key partner in State Contracts, is urgently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist for an immediate, high-priority contract placement in Cranston, Rhode Island. This role is crucial and requires a professional who can clear compliance quickly.

About the Role As the Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for the full-cycle plan of care, assessment, and implementation of therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of impairments in multiple clinical environments, including forensic mental health and long-term acute care. You will ensure all documentation meets ESH policies and CMS.
Responsibilities
Independently review medical records and utilize standard measures to determine functional deficits and establish individualized OT plans of care.
Provide evidence-based Occupational Therapy services for Inpatients with a multitude of diagnoses.
Administer comprehensive OT treatments, including, but not limited to: Activities of Daily Living (ADL) retraining and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs); Seating and positioning, splinting, strengthening, and endurance programming; Trauma-informed care, behavioral therapy, and coping/stress management.
Administer standardized assessments such as the Allen Cognitive Level Screen (ACLS), Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills (KELS), and the Barthel ADL index.
Assess therapeutic equipment needs, facilitate prescription, and coordinate its acquisition.
Document evaluations and treatments accurately in patient medical records.
Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an Adult population is required.
Education:
Graduation from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by a recognized agency.
Licensure:
Must meet and maintain Rhode Island Department of Health licensure requirements as a condition of employment.
Considerable knowledge of OT principles, theory, and practice framework.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge/experience working with patients who have severe and persistent mental illness as well as complex medical needs is strongly preferred.
Pay range and compensation package Compensation: $66.00/hr
