Job Summary: MetalTek International is currently recruiting for a 2nd Shift Radiographic Inspector (RT L2) in our Quality Department. The successful candidate will test critical components for a diverse customer base, including military, aerospace, and energy sectors.
Responsibilities
Perform radiographic inspection, selecting appropriate techniques and positioning materials for castings and welds.
Process and analyze film and/or digital radiographic images.
Interpret results to determine pass/fail based on codes, standards, and customer specifications.
Review new customer orders with Engineering to determine proper NDT processing.
Assist in maintaining radiographic inspection areas, equipment, and accurate records of inspections and process logs.
Participate in quality accreditation activities.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED; post‑high‑school education in NDT or a technical field preferred.
Certification to RT Level II, SNT‑TC‑1A, NAS‑410, Navsea Tech Pub. 010/271, or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience with DDA, CR (digital X‑ray) protocols or CR/DDA Level 2 certification desirable.
Knowledge of FPI, MPI, or ability to gain certification in additional NDT techniques.
Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of math, physics, and chemistry.
