Other requirements to be determined by the client facility
Responsibilities Labor and Delivery Nurses (RN), also called perinatal nurses, provide care and support for women before, during, and after the delivery of the baby. They ensure the medical and emotional needs of patients are met throughout the birthing process.
Provide care to women and their newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages
Monitor vital signs of mother and baby during birth
Identify and monitor patients for potential high‑risk problems
Educate and support mothers and their families after giving birth
