Physicians Assistant - General Orthopedics

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our general orthopedics team in Macon, GA. This role offers a blend of surgical first assist, clinical responsibilities, and rounding, providing a well‑rounded and dynamic practice environment.
Key Responsibilities Assist in general orthopedic surgeries, including procedures on hips, shoulders, wrists, joints, and more
Provide clinical care and patient management in an outpatient setting
Participate in sports event coverage as needed
Take on‑call shifts (approximately 3‑4 nights per month)
Contribute to practice operations, including administrative tasks alongside clinical duties
Schedule Monday – Friday, five 8‑hour shifts per week
Three days in clinic
Two days in orthopedic surgery
Qualifications Must be an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of 2 years of first assist experience in the operating room
Must have surgical/OR experience, including the ability to sew and close incisions
Candidates fresh out of school are not eligible for this role
