We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year in the
San Luis Obispo
, CA
area. This school-based position supports students with specialized medical needs in an educational setting, helping ensure they receive safe, high-quality care throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to students, including but not limited to tracheostomy care, G‑tube feedings, and toileting assistance
Monitor students’ medical conditions and respond to health emergencies appropriately
Collaborate with educators, school staff, and parents to support student health plans
Document care provided and maintain accurate student health records
Ride the school bus with assigned students as needed, ensuring continuity of care during transportation (preferred)
Qualifications:
Active and valid California LVN license (required)
Current CPR certification (required)
Experience with tracheostomies, G‑tubes, and toileting support (preferred)
Pediatric or school nursing experience is a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule:
Follows the 2025–2026 school calendar
Daytime hours, Monday through Friday
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage (based on experience)
Compensation for this position ranges from $33 to $42 hourly.
