Atrium Health MSKI Lake Norman Inpatient Clinic
is a practice comprised of board-certified orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and a dynamic team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) serving patients throughout the Lake Norman community and beyond. Being part of AH MSKI means joining a large, comprehensive musculoskeletal network that includes orthopedic surgery subspecialists, non-operative sports medicine physicians, and MSK physiatry.
This opportunity partners closely with community outreach Athletic Trainers supporting high school and collegiate sports programs. Atrium Health proudly employs more than 100 athletic trainers across the region in support of the MSKI mission.
Candidate Qualifications
Prior orthopedic experience preferred
Active North Carolina licensure (PA or Acute Care NP)
Must possess or be eligible for a DEA license
Graduation from an accredited
Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
program required
NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (Acute Care NP) preferred
Opportunity Details
APP will function as an independent practitioner with a primary focus on inpatient care and occasional outpatient support
Serve as a first assistant in the operating room as needed
Participate in call rotation to support and manage attending physician call burden
Provide inpatient orthopedic support, including (but not limited to) rounding, discharge planning, emergency department procedures, consults, and follow-up care
