ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs, analyzes, and interprets microbiological testing of finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and environmental samples according to USP (or other) requirements.

Assists with the preparation of isolates for identification.

Prepares microbiological media.

Collects microbial samples as required.

Maintains a clean, organized laboratory environment including daily logs and sample tracking.

Updates spreadsheets with appropriate data.

Responsible for comprehensive recording of test results.

Performs other duties as required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to complete all required documentation (includes, but is not limited to, batch records, log books, notebooks, raw data (charts, graphs, scans, etc.), validation protocols, labels and cGMP-related forms).

Detail oriented

Self-Starter, team player

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Comfortable working independently and within a team environment

Strong personal integrity

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's (B.S.) in Microbiology, Biology or Biological Sciences

OR

Bachelor's (B.S.) in a field not related to Biology with 3 years of bench work in cGMP lab

Lab Knowledge (college or work setting)

Work independently with minimal direction

Schedule flexibility - "On Call weekends"

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years in cGMP lab environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures in the field of microbiology
