Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support the Community Living Center at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Hospital located at 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, NY 10548. Multiple shift schedules are available. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
Obtains patient history and patient family history
Performs quality control checks and operator maintenance for a variety of patient care equipment
Assists in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care
Documents care given and patient response in the medical record
Prepares patient for physical examination
Carries out prescribed nurse initiated, nurse practitioner, and physician orders and documents in patient medical record
Communicates pertinent patient data to the appropriate provider
Possesses knowledge of actions and usual dosages of most commonly used emergency drugs and their location
Recognizes emergency situations and initiates appropriate resuscitative measures
Assists in patient/family education regarding prescribed medications/therapies/diagnostic procedures
Assesses patient/family knowledge level, implements plan of instructions, and records patient/family demonstrated level of understanding
Ensures content and correctness of a prepared reports and signs documents to validate content
Participates in monitoring quality of care according to professional standards and established procedures
Responds to telephone inquiries regarding ward services and/or follow-up ancillary reports
Assists with ward related administrative tasks
Administers oxygen, intravenous fluids, and prescribed medications in accordance with VA policy
Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce, in the Veteran population, and in the community
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
Has been actively practicing as an LPN for at least one year within the past three years
Is capable of providing nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients
Has and maintains current AHA BLS certification
Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with the performance of assigned duties
Has documented training and skills verification

Position Pays:
$36 - $41.09/hr
All candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
Lift up to 20 lbs
Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
