Adjunct Faculty – College of Nursing and Public Health
The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University is seeking adjunct professors for the Summer 2026 semester (at both our Garden City, NY and Manhattan extension center locations). At the Adelphi University College of Nursing and Public Health, we educate the next generation of healthcare professionals to be committed to excellence as leaders in their disciplines. Our innovative evidence-based teaching and learning environments, combined with our collaborative healthcare and community partnerships, prepare students at all levels. Students will attain the necessary knowledge and interdisciplinary skills to excel as caring practitioners, health informaticists, scientists and scholars.
Responsibilities Adjunct faculty will provide part-time instruction to students, hired on a per-course/per-semester basis and will adhere to all Adelphi Faculty policies and procedures, as defined in the Faculty Handbook.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of New York is required.
Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
Minimum of five years of practice experience in specialty area (e.g. Adult Health, Pediatrics, OB etc.).
Current BLS certification if teaching clinical.
Current teaching experience; ability to teach across undergraduate and/or graduate curricula.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students.
Effective time management skills.
Effective written communication skills.
Project a professional and appropriate demeanor when interacting with colleagues and students.
Provide useful feedback to students regarding their coursework and performance.

Salary Information In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,866 per credit.
