Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed occupational therapist as specified in their health care service setting. Responsibilities

Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed occupational therapist. Collaborates with the licensed occupational therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions. Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from occupational therapy Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process. Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the licensed occupational therapist. Minimum Requirements

Education

Associate's Degree OT Assistant Experience
