Expected duration of the contract: 12 months

This offer and contract are subject to obtaining the corresponding financing (Project pending Resolution), that the financial funds are available and to the effective start of the Project.

OFFER DESCRIPTION

The Research Support and Knowledge Transfer Unit at ICRA is seeking to recruit a technician specialising in hydrology, specifically in numerical hydrological modelling and hydrological field measurements.

The successful candidate will work on competitive research projects and knowledge transfer contracts involving hydrology-related tasks and, whenever possible, will lead projects of this type.

KEY DUTIES

The main duties of the person joining the Research Support Unit will include:

Numerical modelling of surface and groundwater hydrology using SWAT+ or similar models.

Analysis of environmental data series (e.g. meteorological and hydrological data).Hydrological field measurements (e.g. piezometers, river discharge measurements).

Environmental sciences, geology, biology, physics, mathematics, engineering or related fields.

Qualifications and Education Level:

Advanced Vocational Training (CFGS/FPII), Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD.

Skills:

– Programming skills in Python.

– Basic knowledge of numerical modelling (calibration techniques, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis).

– Advanced knowledge of hydrological modelling using SWAT+ or similar tools.

– Basic knowledge of database-based method implementation.

Required Languages:

Required Experience:

At least 24 months of experience in a research centre

Advanced knowledge of numerical modelling and specific experience using the SWAT+ model

Selection process:
