Position Overview

Boise State University invites interested applicants to apply for two Assistant Teaching Professor positions starting in Fall 2026. We are seeking innovative and inspiring colleagues who are excited to engage undergraduate students and teach primarily the Professional Development Series courses (PSYC 111 – Freshman, PSYC 222 – Sophomore, PSYC 333 – Junior, and PSYC 444 – Senior). Candidates should also have experience teaching other high‑demand courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and Statistical Methods. Successful candidates will join a department dedicated to curriculum and pedagogy, using evidence‑based and inclusive teaching practices. Teaching Faculty positions have an 80% teaching workload and 20% service workload, with flexibility in course modality and scheduling. Department Overview

Earned doctorate in psychology or a related field (open specialty) by August 1, 2026. ABD will be considered pending the conferral of the degree by this date. Experience teaching psychology courses at the undergraduate level. Experience relevant to guiding students’ professional and career development. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with evidence‑based teaching practices. Demonstrated success or potential for success in teaching and service. Positive student course evaluations or other evidence of effective teaching (e.g., teaching observations). Experience teaching professional development courses and/or mentoring or advising students. A breadth of teaching experience (class sizes and modalities). Required Application Materials
