Position Details
Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Location: Mercy Hospital South — 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128
Status: PRN (As Needed)
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure as applicable; responsible for meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements.
Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred (unit-specific requirements may apply).
Certifications: Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire); additional certifications may be required based on unit or obtained within department timeframe (examples: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, other unit-specific certifications).
Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
