Position: Breast Imaging Radiologist We are seeking a
board eligible or board-certified Breast Imaging Radiologist
with experience in screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast biopsies, and breast MRI.
MQSA certification is required .
Breast Imaging Fellowship is preferred but not mandatory .
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Volume & Procedures
Screenings:
38-45 daily average
Diagnostics:
10-12 daily average
Biopsies:
Weekly average of 2 stereotactic and 5 ultrasound-guided breast biopsies
Volume varies day-to-day, offering procedural variety
Practice Mix
Flexible practice split: either
70% mammography / 30% general diagnostic
or the reverse, based on physician preference
The group staffs two outpatient breast centers, two imaging centers, and one hospital
Call Responsibilities
Weekday general call:
One week every 8 weeks, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM the next morning
Evenings are staffed, so being called in or staying past 5:00 PM is very rare
Weekend general call:
One in eight weekends, onsite Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Weekend evenings are covered remotely, so staying late is uncommon
Team
Total practice size: 10 physicians (including 4 Interventional Radiologists)
Mammography group: 4 radiologists, with plans to add 1-2 who read mammograms full-time or part-time
Hiring 2 additional full-time breast imaging radiologists to support increased volume and upcoming retirements within the next 2 years
Compensation
Guaranteed Starting Base Salary: 550,000 a year, potential for additional earned compensation
Sign-on Bonus: $100,000
Relocation: up to $15,000
Student Loan repayment: $100,000
Internal Moonlighting opportunities available
Vacation: 8 weeks 1st year, 10 weeks 2nd year and 12 weeks 3rd year
Partnership Track: 2 years
Buy-in - Typically covered by first bonus - On average around $40,000
Total Earning Potential/Salary structure once partner: $750,000-$900,000+

Visalia is located 3 hours South of San Francisco and 2.5 hours North of Los Angeles. There are many coastal towns to enjoy as well, with easy day trip access.
