About The Position TravelNurseSource is partnering with AMN Healthcare to fill a Telemetry RN role in Warner Robins, GA.
The position is on a 36‑bed adult/geriatric Pulmonary unit, which primarily manages:
Acute Respiratory Failure
Pneumonia
Pulmonary Embolism
Congestive Heart Failure
Lung cancer
Influenza and COVID‑19
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Chest pain without cardiac intervention
Tuberculosis
Pleural effusion
Septicemia without mechanical ventilation
Pulmonary fibrosis
Behavioral health stabilization (medical)
The unit also accepts overflow patients from Cardiovascular, Surgical, and Acute Medical services.
Responsibilities
Perform tracheostomy care and high‑flow oxygen therapy
Obtain arterial blood gases and manage bipap/CPAP devices
Assist with bedside chest tube insertion and thoracentesis
Conduct cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry data
Insert and maintain NG and PEG tubes
Place and manage central lines/PICC lines
Start IVs and provide urinary catheterization care
Deliver simple and complex wound care
Observe patients, provide family education, and discharge teaching
Maintain accurate Meditech charting and documentation
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with Telemetry experience
Minimum 18 months of Telemetry experience
Current GA or nurse‑compact license
Proficiency in IV insertion and PICC line placement
Meditech charting proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification
Experience in travel nursing
