Clinical Mentor (CM)

- a confident, compassionate, and experienced RN who knows how to walk the talk. You'll work side-by-side with

novice nurses , mentoring them through their first steps into clinical practice and helping them grow into strong, competent professionals. What You'll Do:

Be a

role model and mentor

for new nurses - sharing real-world knowledge, support, and encouragement. Guide them through

competency development

using evidence-based practice and clinical expertise. Jump in on the floor as a bedside RN to support mentorship, assessments, and team coverage. Provide feedback, coaching, and hands‑on skills development in the moment. Work closely with nursing leadership, clinical education, and other teams across the organization - sometimes traveling to make it happen. Balance mentorship with

real‑time patient care

- this is a hands‑on clinical role, not a desk job. What You’ll Need:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Current Missouri RN license Valid

BLS

and

ACLS

certifications At least

3 years of recent full‑time experience

in your clinical specialty Strong computer skills (EMR + Microsoft Office Suite) Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities - and sometimes work

evenings or weekends

to support nurse residents Must work at the bedside

at least 12 hours every 6 weeks

to maintain clinical sharpness (and during a staffing crisis, possibly more) Bonus Points (Preferred):

RN certification

in education or your specialty area Additional instructor certifications (such as BLS or ACLS instructor) Why This Role Rocks:
