SUMMARY
The dietary aide responsibilities are to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
BASE PAY RANGE $15.00/hr - $15.00/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established facility policies.
Carry out garbage and keep work area clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
Carry soiled utensils, etc., to wash area.
Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.
Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
Serve food in the dining room as instructed.
Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience in Long Term Care or Assisted Living industry, preferred.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS The physical and sensory requirements are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
