Still Waters Counseling Services, LLC is seeking an experienced and passionate
in-person Child Therapist
(licensed or associate) to join our growing group practice. We are rapidly expanding with a high demand for child and family services, and we have strong systems in place to support you clinically and professionally as you grow into a fully licensed mental health clinician.
We are seeking a clinician who is passionate about working
in-person with children, adolescents, and families . The ideal candidate is:
Skilled or experienced in child and family therapy
Comfortable working with parents and caregivers as part of the treatment process
Competent in or willing to learn, trauma-informed or trauma-focused treatment (EMDR, Brainspotting, TF-CBT preferred but not required)
Eager to collaborate, consult, problem-solve, and contribute to a supportive team culture
Committed to inclusivity, diversity, cultural humility, and ethical practice
Ready to begin part-time and ideally grow to full-time within approximately three months
Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, clinical social work, behavioral science, psychology, or marriage and family therapy
Experience or strong foundational skills in:
Communicating effectively with children, teens, and families
Conducting mental health assessments and documenting DSM‑5 diagnoses
Developing and implementing treatment plans
Providing individual, family, or group therapy within the scope of training
Understanding child development, behavioral needs, and family systems
Ability to use: Google Drive/Docs/Sheets/Slides/Forms, Zoom, Gmail, Slack
Clinical competence in gathering developmental, mental health, and family histories; conducting mental status exams; and assessing risk and safety
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to obtain full licensure within 3 years
Trauma-focused training (EMDR, TF-CBT, Brainspotting)
Experience in modalities applicable to child therapy (CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, ACT, Narrative, Strength-Based, Somatic approaches, etc.)
Interest in developing niche specialties within child or family services
Experience with expressive therapies: art, music, movement, or play-based approaches
CADC‑I eligibility (optional)
