WHAT: As an Electrical Tech Specialist, you will drive continuous improvement and strengthen our competitive edge and support solutioning left across our global operations. The Electrical Tech Specialist defines and maintains process sequence and key dependencies to ensure operational consistency and reliability, reducing errors and increasing productivity.
HOW: The Electrical Tech Specialist makes a significant impact by ensuring our manufacturing processes are innovative, efficient, and produce high-quality products. Electrical Tech Specialist help to define and maintain process sequences and key dependencies to ensure operational consistency and reliability, reducing errors and increasing productivity.
Work Arrangement - Onsite The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full‑time basis. This role requires up to 25% domestic and international travel.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Develop manufacturing strategies
through benchmarking and defining Bill of Process (BoP) and product requirements
Integrate equipment solutions
by aligning Bill of Equipment (BoE) with Manufacturing Requirements (MRs) and PFMEA detection methods
Ensure quality‑capable systems
by maintaining Level 1 PFMEAs, PCPs, and KCDS
Resolve field quality and safety issues
via Global Read Across and Product Alert Levels (PAL)
Drive innovation in manufacturing technologies
using DFMEA, GSSLT, best practices, product strategies, and ATW initiatives
Collaborate with PPI and CME teams
to support Product Statements of Requirement (SOR)
Enable plant execution
by managing MR deviation requests
Oversee product structure and partitioning
(VPPS responsibilities)
Champion a forward‑thinking culture
that embraces change and prepares for future challenges
Build strategic cross‑functional partnerships
with software, manufacturing, and program management teams to accelerate innovation
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems
and process control methodologies
Experience with PFMEA, DFMEA, PCP (Process Control Plan), and KCDS
development and application
Experience with Bill of Process (BoP) and Bill of Equipment (BoE) integration
Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies
and innovation strategies (e.g., ATW, GSSLT)
Ability to analyze complex technical problems
and implement data‑driven solutions
Hands‑on experience in production and quality environments
, including troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis
Familiarity with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles
and vehicle program launch processes
Excellent communication skills
for technical documentation and cross‑functional collaboration
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
to influence and drive change in team settings
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
(or equivalent experience)
