Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our team specializing in injection molding. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement in our operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production goals while maintaining a focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
Develop, evaluate, and optimize injection molding processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times. Troubleshoot and resolve process‑related issues to ensure consistent quality and minimize downtime. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Identify opportunities for cost savings and waste reduction in the manufacturing process.
Tooling and Equipment:
Collaborate with tooling engineers and project managers to design, maintain, and improve molds and related equipment. Specify and recommend new machinery or upgrades to existing equipment for improved performance.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and analyze production data to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. Implement corrective actions and process adjustments as needed to address quality concerns.
Training and Documentation:
Train machine operators and technicians on proper operating procedures and best practices. Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment. Technical Skills
Proficiency in injection molding machine operation and process setup. Familiarity with mold design, material selection, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
