About the role Assist PD engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. This level position requires extensive molding knowledge, materials and process understanding, and a high degree of independence. Support daily activities to ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained.

Your responsibilities will include

Develop robust injection molding processes using industry standard methods.

Troubleshoot molding and related processes (e.g., automation or inspection) that are not fully optimized.

Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing/process equipment.

Complete validation and related documentation to meet quality system requirements (e.g., tooling qualifications, build paperwork, etc.).

Generate technical plans, reports and analysis for equipment and processes (e.g., process capability, Gage R&R and basic statistics).

Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.

Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products with minimal engineering guidance.

Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.

Identify and assist in resolving safety, health, or environmental issues associated with processes or equipment, and maintain compliance with good manufacturing practices.

Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams in identifying and obtaining supplies and services.

Act as a resource and mentor to other employees in the group.

Train and work with production staff to ensure proper implementation of NPD processes.

Effective cross‑functional communication (e.g., project updates, complex technical issues, and helping to provide solutions).

Champion and support business improvement initiatives (e.g., tech road maps, 5S efforts, etc.).

Onsite work mode. May travel up to 10%.

Required qualifications

5 years with High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships.

Ability to work in an onsite manufacturing environment.

Preferred qualifications

4+ years of med‑device injection molding experience.

Prior experience with Engel (ideal), Sodick, or Nissei molders.

Prior experience or knowledge of injection mold tooling fabrication.

Prior experience with robot programming and/or end‑of‑arm tooling development.

Scientific Molding and/or Master Molder certification.

Minimum Salary: $61,152

Maximum Salary: $104,000
