SHIFT ORE - Shift 2 ($.55) (United States of America - Oregon)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW The CMM Operator sets-up and operates CMM to make precise measurement of parts for first article inspection, in-process checks, final inspection, investigation of issues, and qualification of parts or tooling. They are responsible for maintaining CMM programs to support part inspection on complex machined components and parts. They provide support for Production and Engineering to ensure requirements of document quality systems, procedures, alerts, and instructions are followed, including software control and CMM program correlation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Sets-up and operates CMM to make precise measurement of parts

Analyzes layout, operation and detailed part inspections on various components on CMM and bench setups.

Set up and executes documentation detailing preparation, part orientation and operational instructions for other inspection personnel.

Performs mechanical measurements and reports results using CMM and other gages, as needed for first article inspection, investigation of issues, and qualification of parts or tooling and in-process inspection as well as final inspection.

Verifies conformance of parts to specifications and drawing requirements.

Summarizes results and communicates them as needed.

Ensures customer and quality standards are met.

Ensures compliance with medical device regulations.

Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.

Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Completes all required training.

Perform dimensional inspection using CMM, height gages, micrometers, and calipers.

Perform daily work to meet production/engineering schedules.

Complete narratives and numeric reports to record inspection results

Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department supervisor or lead.

Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead.

Visually inspect machined and machined & polished parts

Confirm discrepancies using appropriate tools including, but not limited to calipers, pin gages, measuring instruments and surface profilometers as required

Route non-conforming product for rework operations to ensure compliance of customer acceptance criteria

Accurately document inspection results

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Quality Inspection and Lean Manufacturing (Preferred)

Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
