Radiology Technologist – PRN
Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is searching for a PRN Radiology Technician to join our team. This position offers the opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to work in a surgically-focused center that performs thousands of procedures a year.
Responsibilities
Perform IV and contrast administration, orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, operating room radiology, trauma radiology, GI radiology, outpatient and inpatient diagnostic radiology, myelography and arthrography.
Operate x‑ray equipment to create radiographs of specified body portions; adjust exposure, voltage, and current in line with radiation safety procedures.
Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment; explain x‑ray procedures to patients; position patients with appropriate immobilization and protective devices; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
Assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
Record film exposure data, label films, and sort as required.
Consult with lead x‑ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Process film per standardized procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (management experience preferred).
Valid AART registration and current CPR certification.
Knowledge of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
Excellent independent decision‑making, prioritization, and communication skills.
