About the Role Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) and the Center Physician for medical issues. The Specialist follows BioLife Medical Affairs guidance and provides center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
Key Responsibilities
Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician’s standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
Consult the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility.
Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation by occupational health/ER is required, referencing EHS guidance.
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalency of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
Current CPR and AED certification.
State‑required basic IV therapy competency.
Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation & Benefits Location : USA – TX – Georgetown Hourly Wage Range : $25.00 – $34.38
