Phlebotomist II – Newnan, GA
Company: Quest Diagnostics
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $21.17+ per hour (subject to factors such as experience, training, education, certifications, and market). Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
Administer oral solutions according to training.
Research and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Navigate a computer and accurately enter data – a requirement for success.
Obtain patient identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
Perform all non‑patient‑facing duties (inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email).
Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance logs, temperature logs, etc.).
Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly.
Qualifications
Work Experience (required)
Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs (including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime).
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Language
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
