Position Summary The Department of Pharmacology in the Cardiovascular Division is seeking a Research Technician to support laboratory operations and ongoing research projects. The technician will contribute to experiments involving molecular and cellular biology techniques, assist with lab maintenance, and help train new team members. This position is ideal for candidates with hands‑on laboratory experience and an interest in cardiovascular research.
Responsibilities
Perform research experiments including animal procedures, cell culture, Western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, and microscopy.
Maintain accurate electronic and hard‑copy records of all experiments and data analysis.
Support general lab operations: order supplies, track inventory, and maintain safety documentation.
Train new lab personnel in basic techniques and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support research objectives.
Qualifications High School diploma/GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biosciences or a related field.
Experience working in a molecular/cellular biology lab or related biosciences environment.
