Drone Pilot (UAS Pilot) – Wind Field Technician / Wind Turbine Robotics Operator
Join Aerones, a global leader in advanced wind turbine maintenance and robotics, as a mid-level Drone Pilot. You will travel to wind farms across the country, onshore and offshore, performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on wind turbines. All accommodation, travel expenses, and a per diem of $60 per day for meals and incidentals are covered.
Base Pay Range:
$52,000 – $62,000 per year (equivalent to $27.00 – $32.00 per hour)

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Data custody, management, and upload to company servers
Timely communication with clients and internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Engineers, etc.)
Report completed tasks, analyze applicable data, and inform relevant departments of safety and quality risks
Maintenance and operation of robotic systems used for cleaning, inspection, and repair of wind turbines
Perform routine inspections on turbines to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
Preventative maintenance on wind turbines and associated systems to reduce downtime and maximize energy production
Fault diagnosis and resolution of technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technology
Reporting and documentation of work completed, including identifying issues, repairs, and maintenance performed
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards
Training and Certifications
Paid drone training covering piloting, process, safety, and technical skills
Required GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) full certifications for all new hires
Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship at this time
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Basic computer skills
Willing and able to undertake a background check and a physical check (medical) to ensure ability to work in confined spaces, climbing, lifting, etc.
Highly Desired
FAA Private Pilot Certificate
Experience with DJI Mavic 3 or similar quadcopter
Prior military service
GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) Full
GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT)
OSHA 10 Certificate NFPA 70E
Experience with GE, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, Nordex turbine operations or LOTO
GWO Sea Survival training
