Job Summary The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the specific requirements of the department and the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Teaches patients and families about the patient’s medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects, translating complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
Teaches patients and families about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as a healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and other lifestyle changes, preparing them for future self‑management.
Manages evidence‑based practice and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
NIH Stroke Scale certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse license.
Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or RN Diploma.
