Health Care Provider Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with emotionally ill patients. Psychiatric inpatient experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Occupational, Recreational, Activities Therapy, or related field. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required at hire. ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS. Additional certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk. What You Will Do

Ensure accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to patients. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and provide clinical documentation. Assess patient leisure preferences, limitations, social and ADL functional abilities. Utilize group and individual therapeutic, occupational, creative expressive or recreational techniques to achieve treatment goals. Develop standards for activities program based on recognized therapeutic interventions. Manage equipment and materials to support program. Highlights and Benefits
