Fusion Health is seeking an Interface Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of healthcare interoperability solutions across our clinical and operational platforms. As an Interface Engineer II, you will develop and optimize moderately complex interface integrations, contribute to data exchange workflows, and ensure reliability across HL7, FHIR, X12/EDI, and other standards used in our HealthTech ecosystem.
You will operate with growing autonomy—owning the quality and stability of the interfaces and data pipelines you support—while collaborating closely with engineering, product, clinical SMEs, and client-facing teams. This role bridges tactical implementation with emerging technical leadership and plays a key part in delivering secure, accurate, and scalable integrations for our clients.

Design, build, and maintain moderately complex integrations using industry standards such as
HL7 v2 ,
FHIR (R4 preferred) ,
CDA/CCD , and
X12/EDI (e.g., 837/835)
Configure, test, and deploy integrations across engines and platforms (e.g., Mirth, HealthShare, Rhapsody, QIE)—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance.
Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data validations to support interface workflows and troubleshoot processing issues.
Support onboarding of new feeds, client interfaces, and message workflows across ADT, ORU, VXU, RDE, claims, and other transactions.
Conduct root cause analysis for interface failures and recommend durable fixes to reduce recurrence.
Monitor interface queues, message flows, logs, and system health to ensure uptime and data fidelity.
Triage and resolve message errors, data discrepancies, and interoperability issues with minimal oversight.
Improve alerting, runbooks, and operational guidelines to support consistent day-to-day performance.

Required Qualifications:
Strong SQL proficiency (Azure SQL, SQL Server; complex joins, windowing, optimization).
Experience with SSRS for building and maintaining operational and clinical reporting.
Proficiency with Power BI including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard design.
Experience with Azure data ecosystem (Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure pipelines or equivalent) preferred.
Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and semantic-layer design.
Experience working with healthcare operational workflows, or clinical data models.
Strong ability to analyze data problems, validate logic, and drive issues to resolution.
Ability to interpret requirements and convert ambiguous input into structured technical output.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams including clinical SMEs, product leaders, and client-facing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to clearly explain data logic and reporting behavior.
Independent contributor capable of owning tasks from requirements through delivery.
High attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and commitment to accuracy.
Team-oriented mindset with willingness to contribute to standards, governance, and shared best practices.
This is an on-site (hybrid), full-time, salaried position at our Woodbridge, NJ office location. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $83,000 - $103,000 annually.
